About Us

The New Mexico News Map is a dynamic resource revealing the diverse and evolving local news landscape. Commissioned by the NM Local News Fund, this map highlights the outlets that keep communities informed — from daily newspapers to tribal radio stations to digital start-ups and student-run publications. Whether you’re a reader, journalist, policymaker or funder, this tool helps you see where local news is thriving, where it’s at risk, and where support is needed most.
